- That's what I get for not telling the whole story. Sorry. This was a
- repair job in which I had to replace the CPU, then when I got it to come
- up correctly, I observed that the video was terrible, wavy and fuzzy, so I
- replaced the VIC chip (yes it was the old style like you suggested) with
- the new style, and my video is nice and clear. Just DIM! I don't notice
- it so much on my TV that I use for testing, but the green screen that the
- owner uses is really dim. So I got out one of my other C64's of that
- style, and the video is the same. The monitor is ok, because I've tested
- newer C64's on it and it works fine. So, do I have two bad ones, or are
- the old ones just like this?
